NFL OVER-UNDERS AND OTHER STUFF

http://i.usatoday.net/communitymanager/_photos/the-huddle/2012/05/30/jetsx-large.jpg

Here are some of our predictions, or as we like to call them, 'dic's.

Our Over-Unders
(All lines according to sportsbook.com)

New York Giants: 9 (9 wins last year)
Jon: Push. I think the NFC East has a bunch of average to slightly above average teams and Philly and NYG will top it at 9 wins as they all beat up on each other.

Sean: Push

Steve: Over. Legitimately good team that will benefit from an uncharacteristically weak division.

Philadelphia Eagles: 10 (8 wins last year)
Jon: Under. If Vick plays 14 games they could win 10. I don't think Vick gets there.

Sean: Push

Steve: Under

Dallas Cowboys: 8.5 (8 wins last year)
Jon: Under

Sean: Over. Every single year the NFC East is a clusterfuck that comes down to Tony Romo missing a wide open receiver. This year will be no different. The Cowboys will get 9 wins and miss out on the playoffs by a tiebreaker.

Steve: Under

Washington Redskins: 6 (5 wins last year)
Jon: Over. I feel really bad about this, mainly because I think Shanahan is way overrated. I could easily see them being 7-9, though.

Sean: Over

Steve: Under. RGIII is great but he ain't that great yet.

Green Bay Packers: 11.5 (15 wins last year)
Jon, Sean, Steve: Over

Chicago Bears: 9.5 (8 wins last year)
Jon: Under. How good is Brandon Marshall, really? Like the 5th best receiver in his division?

Sean: Over

Steve: Over

Detroit Lions: 9 (10 wins last year)
Jon: Over

Sean: Push

Steve: Over. They're still stacked in certain positions, and a year of winning will help the young guys more than it hurts.

Minnesota Vikings: 6 (3 wins last year)
Jon, Sean, Steve: Under

New Orleans Saints: 9.5 (13 wins last year)
Jon: Under. Just don't feel enough about this team to pick them for 10 wins.

Sean: Under

Steve: Over. This team is still really really really good I think, despite no Payton, who is a prick.

Atlanta Falcons: 9 (10 wins last year)
Jon, Sean, Steve: Over

Carolina Panthers: 7.5 (6 wins last year)
Jon: Under. Newton won't take that huge step forward, but will still be very good. I'd watch out for this team in another year.

Sean: Under

Steve: Over. I can see 8 or 9 wins from Carolina, with Newton having another year under his belt. No sophomore slump for this guy, who is absolutely the real deal.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: 5.5 (4 wins last year)
Jon: Under. They're replacing a terrible coach with someone competent, but I still think they suck.

Sean: Over. It's really hard to lose 11 games, especially when you have a new coach and talented players. The Bucs are also in a weak division and get to play the Raiders, Rams, Chiefs, and Panthers (twice).

Steve: Under

San Francisco 49ers: 9.5 (13 wins last year)
Jon: Under. 9-7. Callin' it.

Sean: Over

Steve: Over

Arizona Cardinals: 6.5 (8 wins last year)
Jon: Under

Sean: Over

Steve: Over

Seattle Seahawks: 7.5 (7 wins last year)
Jon, Sean, Steve: Under

St. Louis Rams: 6 (2 wins last year)
Jon: Over. I think Bradford is better than he's played so far, and QBs often take a leap in year 3. 7-9 or 8-8 is in play.

Sean: Under

Steve: Under

New England Patriots: 12.5 (13 wins last year)
Jon: Under

Sean: Under

Steve: OVER BITCH!

Buffalo Bills: 7.5 (6 wins last year)
Jon: Over

Sean: Under. Ryan Fitzpatrick is fucking AJ Feeley or Kevin Kolb. He somehow has everyone entranced by his four good games despite sucking for three years. If this team goes .500 then the Mayans were god damn right.

Steve: Over

New York Jets: 8.5 (8 wins last year)
Jon: Under. I think they will suck.

Sean: Over. I don't think they are good, but they will get nine wins in the way the Titans always seem to do it. They will need like six games to break their way in the last week and will convince their fans to give Sanchbow another year.

Steve: Under

Miami Dolphins: 7 (6 wins last year)
Jon: Under

Sean: Push

Steve: Under

Pittsburgh Steelers: 10 (12 wins last year)
Jon: Over

Sean: Under. This team would be great in 2008. Now, they are old and Roethlisberger has taken so much of a beating that I don't think they can win more than 9 games.

Steve: Over

Baltimore Ravens: 10 (12 wins last year)
Jon: Push

Sean: Over

Steve: Under. No Suggs, and all the linebackers are either new or very old. Haloti Ngata does not ten wins make.

Cincinnati Bengals: 8 (9 wins last year)
Jon, Sean, Steve: Under

Cleveland Browns: 5 (4 wins last year)
Jon: Push

Sean: Under

Steve: Under

Houston Texans: 9.5 (10 wins last year)
Jon, Sean, Steve: Over

Tennessee Titans: 7.5 (9 wins last year)
Jon, Sean, Steve: Under

Jacksonville Jaguars: 5 (5 wins last year)
Jon, Sean, Steve: Under

Indianapolis Colts: 5.5 (2 wins last year)
Jon: Over

Sean: Over

Steve: Under. Andrew Luck is good but he ain't that good yet. This team is gonna spew diarrhea for one year, maybe two.

San Diego Chargers: 9 (8 wins last year)
Jon, Sean, Steve: Over

Denver Broncos: 8.5 (8 wins last year)
Jon, Sean, Steve: Over

Kansas City Chiefs: 8 (7 wins last year)
Jon, Sean, Steve: Under

Oakland Raiders: 7.5 (8 wins last year)
Jon: Over

Sean: Under

Steve: Under
